SFT HANDMADE WOODEN POPPER LURE XILANG
The “Xilang” popper, as the Chinese name implies, like dancing trippingly on the wave, can well represent the dog-walk action, favourite to the lure target fish .Only by the appearance, it does not look like the prey of any large fish, but just for this weird outlook combined with its appropriate gravity centre and buoyancy setting it can display mysterious dancing postures. The slender body gradually becoming slenderer from the centre to the head and tail allows it to obtain the minimum casting wind resistance. After it enters into the water, an angle is gradually formed from the front of the bait body toward the head and with the water buoyancy it appears just like a slightly upturned sliding skid. At the angler’s will, it can easily realize the amazing Z-shape skating action that other pencil poppers cannot achieve. The small cup on its head hits and slaps the water as it dances trippingly like the dog-walk. The splashing from the dance neither too noisy nor too quiet and the foam “skirt” formed by countless big and small bubbles during slide swimming can attract so many a fan to follow. Such a teasing performance can lead to a large scale attack in the deep range. When the angler casts his eyes on this slender body and small sprays it displays, he may let it play the role of the garfish or the saury for high speed escaping on the water surface
Target Fish: Tuna, GT’s, Yellowtail, Mahi-Mahi, Mackerel,
Wahoo, Barracuda, Trevally, Sailfish, etc.
Swimming action: Upon diving countless tiny bubbles from water sprays created by long, jerks of the rod with its tip down can hide the bait body and the hook and greatly reduce alertness of the target fish
