Traditionally the Australian Surf Fishing scene was dominated by the venerable Alvey reel and monofilament lines. Times change however and the beachfront has witnessed the “invasion” of a new breed of Angler, equipped with “super lines” and greater expectations of what the beach “experience” can be. Braid has changed every aspect of Australian Angling and beach fishing is no exception. 

The LOX surf series is aimed at delivering hard-bodied lures and soft-plastics with greater ease and greater accuracy than was ever thought possible. Underpinning the design function of the LOX surf series is the idea that “less is more”. Minimalism and functionalism as contrasted with bulk. In isolation such a design brief isn’t realistic; however in conjunction with the braid it is possible. The success of the LOX Surf series is born out of the marriage between the zero stretch characteristics of braid and the unique recovery rates of Japanese carbon. 
Where as “Old School” techniques will have you lumbering under the weight of heavy tackle that works against the Angler at every turn, the LOX Surf will “re-awaken” the desire to re-challenge the Surf in new and exciting ways.
